Summer began her teaching career in a traditional high school classroom and now enjoys teaching at home, with Master Books Academy, and for a local cover school. She has been married to her husband for sixteen years and has two children. Any free time she finds between serving her Savior, helping run the Master Books Academy site, homeschooling, and managing all things family is spent reading or traveling.
